Abstract :
New relays have been installed in France in response to the development of radiocommunications with mobile phones, and the deployment of the Itineris system (GSM) in particular. It is in this context that France Telecom has installed, at an altitude of 2600 m in the Alps, a hybrid photovoltaic/diesel engine generator system to provide a continuous power supply of 1.5 kW. This paper sets out the solutions adopted and provides the first operating results for this station
