Abstract :
Thermo-hydraulic software for electronics applications can be used to design and optimize telecommunications racks. At present, integrating multivendor devices into a single system makes it very difficult to determine thermal parameters. This study demonstrates the use of a different modelling method to handle such configurations, based on the case of a real telecommunications cabinet. This paper describes: the THEBES thermal simulation tool; the telecommunications equipment used for the study; the modelling method developed with the THEBES software; the analysis of simulation results obtained; and the advantages of that modelling method
