Abstract :
In this paper we discuss the development of a vision-based algorithm to determine the relative position and orientation of an aircraft with respect to a ship which has three visible points with known separation distances. Results of both a simulation and processed aircraft video data are also presented. The potential application for the results presented is vision-based autonomous shipboard landing by an unmanned air vehicle
