Abstract :
The paper argues from a resource based standpoint of the firm, that central to any organization´s strategy must be a focus on the way in which it manages its core organizational knowledge base. While there may be an expanding literature in support of this notion there are few case studies of best practice. Using one case study from an MNC over a five year period, the paper shows how the knowledge management concept might begin to be realized in this instance, with particular emphasis on knowledge creation
