Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for enhancing energy efficiency in telephone exchanges. These include techniques for verifying energy efficiency levels, broadly classifying exchanges according to efficiency enhancement requirements and proposing efficiency enhancement measures with the aid of energy flow analyses and energy consumption follow-ups. Although principally concerned with measurability and verification of energy efficiency levels-that is with “a technique for taking the energy pulse of telephone exchanges”-the article also includes a brief account of the project behind the methods
