An update on power system stabilization via excitation control
Abstract :
In 1981, IEEE sponsored a Tutorial Course on Power System Stabilization Via Excitation Control. This course was accompanied by a publication, which is now out of print. Members of the Excitation System Subcommittee have received increasing requests for information on power system stabilizers, prompting the creation of a task force to update the 1981 documents with the latest information. This paper introduces a panel session covering aspects of power system stability, excitation control and power system stabilizer tuning.
