Abstract :
This paper provides an account of the measures and procedures that contribute to the effective application of power system stabilizers. These include choice of input signals and methods of deriving them, control design procedures, coordination with other control and protective functions, hardware considerations to ensure functional reliability, and commissioning procedures.
