Abstract :
• A test system designed for field performance evaluation of integrated aircraft navigation systems was described. It is based on off-line data processing and analysis of inertial sensors´ measurements and carrier phase differential GPS data from multiple antennas • First experimental tests were carried out on ground using a partial version of the test setup. Results are promising: • Off line processing of carrier phase differential observables demonstrated high accuracy and very good availability • Integration of inertial sensors was found to be important for increasing the measurement rate and reducing the noise in the navigation solution • Integration of the complete multi-antenna test system, and installation onboard an experimental aircraft, are currently in progress
