Abstract :
A novel distributed FET mixer configuration suitable for MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) realization has been demonstrated in hybrid form. An active distributed signal combiner is used at the input of a single-gate FET mixer. The hybrid prototype has achieved 3 dB+or-1 dB conversion gain from 2 to 12 GHz for an LO (local oscillator) power of 6 dBm. The measured single-sideband noise figure is 11 dB over most of the band.<>
