Abstract :
This paper presents a novel design of a dual-band Quadirfilar helix antenna. The helix antenna is formed by 4 printed strips, where 2 slots cut near the edge of each of the radiating arms are applied for dual-band property. Numerical simulation results show that this design can be used to produce dual frequency resonances, which can be used for applications in some satellite uplink and downlink frequency bands. In addition, the performance of this antenna remains pretty good even at higher frequencies.
