  • Abstract
With the feature of multi-Gbps data rate, 60GHz communication has drawn a great interest both in academic and industrial area. To remedy pass loss and reduce co-channel interference, a fast beam searching algorithm is proposed to accelerate the beam training stage. Unfortunately, the fast beam searching algorithm requires the control of each antenna elements, which will increase the realization complexity. To avoid controlling each antenna elements, this article proposes a beam codebook design scheme, which could design codebooks that satisfy the fast beam searching algorithm´s demand. Simulation result validates that the codebook based fast beam searching algorithm not only has no loss in performance, but also can significantly reduce the realization complexity.
