  • Abstract
This paper develops Time Reversal Mirror (TRM) method to reconstruct steel buried in concrete. Steel rectangular net is selected as the target in the wall. Both vertical and horizontal polarization sources are used in the simulation. Receivers are put near the wall. The image effect is related to the polarization and the antenna aperture size. The obtained images indicate the efficient detection and identification of the buried metal through suitable polarization and location. Numerical results show that TRM is robust in reconstructing the shape and size of metal object buried in a layered medium with high resolution.
