Abstract :
We theoretically investigate the modulation of carrier mobility in quasi-one dimensional organic crystals that consist of linear chains of conducting molecules. Two major electron-phonon interaction mechanisms are included in our model. It is shown that under certain conditions, the interplay of these two mechanisms may lead to a scattering rate reduction for the conduction band electronic states within a narrow energy range. As a result, the carriers in these states will have a significantly increased mobility at room temperature, limited by the scattering on impurities or by the interchain interactions.
