Abstract

Telecommuting is the practice of working at some remote location via the use of telecommunications equipment and a personal computer. Since the adoption and acceptance of this practice has not kept pace with other technological innovations, it seems important to investigate the factors affecting this phenomenon. Information Systems (IS) managers were identified as the population to study since they are usually heavily involved in technological decisions. A structural equation model (SEM) was used to test for relationship among the variables under investigation. Several organizational and personal factors were found to be significant in this model
