Abstract
In direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) communications, the frequency band of the signal is vulnerable to single narrow-band interference, multiple narrowband interference, wideband interference and other interference attacks. Relative to the increased processing gain of spread spectrum systems to suppress interference , adaptive signal processing for interference suppression is low costs, but also more effective. In the paper, the effects of the narrow-band interference on the DSSS system was analyzed, then, the LMS adaptive algorithm was applied to DSSS system before despreading to suppress interferences. Simulation results showed the performance of LMS adaptive filter algorithm for narrowband interference suppression is better, and the error-rate of the system after despreading is reduced in some extent.
