Abstract :
To study the characteristics of ground settlement of tunnel shield construction in loess area, considering the particularity of loess area, a 3D numerical simulation software named FLAC3D is used to calculate the ground settlement of tunnel shield construction. Distribution law of transversal and longitudinal settlement, deformation characteristics of subway structure and surrounding rocks in the condition of soaking and not soaking loess soil are studied in the paper. According to the numerical simulation results, general law of ground settlement in loess area can be summarized finally. The analysis results may have some guiding significance for the design and construction of metro tunnel in loess area.
