Abstract :
The paper describes a new digital current transformer model designed for the use with the EMTDC/PSCAD transient power system simulation. The validity of the current transformer model has been assessed by using theoretical analysis, EMTP simulation and test results obtained from the Synthetic Test Plant (STP) at Alstom T&D Protection and Control Ltd.
