Abstract :
In this paper, an intelligent core loss prediction model is developed and applied during the transformer construction phase. The developed prediction model is based on artificial neural networks. This model is applied on-line to optimally combine the individual wound cores in order to reduce the iron losses of assembled transformers. The perspectives of this work are also presented in this paper.
