Abstract
A new method for solving square root, reciprocal square root and division has been developed. The method utilizes look up tables that are compressed by normalizing the fixed point operand to floating point format, using symmetric table addition method and converting value back to fixed point format. Developed method enables significant speed-ups in graphics processing.
