Abstract :
NTT is conducting utilization tests for CATV video transmissions in which CATV video transmissions, video-on-demand (VOD) and ISDN services are provided on an integrated basis to customers in test areas where optical fiber is installed to each household. The test systems adopt two types of PON systems, and are now operating in three test areas, each of which has about 300 subscribers. The trial provides a high quality of service, and systems were used for DAVIC interoperability test
