Abstract
The paper proposes a four-factor model on the success of knowledge management (KM). According to the analysis results, managerial factors are the core components of the model which mainly include coordination, motivation, monitoring and measurement, and technical factors are the critical hardware enabler of KM which can directly determine the effectiveness of KM, just as managerial factors; while external environment factors and internal resource factors develop knowledge gaps under the supervision of managerial factors, and influence KM indirectly by supporting or restricting managerial factors and technical factors.
