Abstract :
The dynamic programming is widely used in reservoir optimal operation with its advantage in fast convergence. The optimal operation mathematics model of Xuanmiaoguan reservoir is built and calculated based on the dynamic programming method. Comparison the results of the optimization of reservoir operation and the common practical operation, three benefits of reservoir could be get from the reservoir optimal operation. There are increasing of annual generating capacity of the reservoir, improving guarantee rate of hydropower and improving reliability and stability of supply of electric power. The results show that the reservoir optimal operation model solved using the dynamic programming is useful for the multi-purpose optimal operation of reservoir. The results also indicate that the dynamic programming method has broad prospects application in the areas of reservoir optimal operation and water resources optimal allocation. Our research can provide useful and interesting implications for the reservoir optimal operation.
