Abstract :
This paper provides an overview and preliminary results from an ultra-wideband (UWB) channel measurement and modeling campaign performed at Virginia Tech as part of DARPA\´s "Networking in extreme environments (NETEX)" program. The project includes large scale and small scale channel measurements using various antennas. The environments examined include indoor, outdoor, and indoor-to-outdoor although only the former are discussed here.
