Abstract :
An approach is outlined for extending the use of conformal mapping to the calculation of the quasi-TEM (transverse electromagnetic) parameters of several cylindrical transmission lines. Results are presented for a thin microstrip line, asymmetric broadside-coupled microstriplines, and five-coupled striplines. The approach leads, in most cases, to analytic closed-form expressions. Numerical results are presented. The approach always results in planar structures that are bounded by lateral magnetic or electric walls.<>
