Abstract :
This paper presents a improved video watermarking technology based on the MPEG-4 standard and the spread-spectrum technique. The watermarks are embedded in the luminance´s DCT direct current coefficient of the video´s `I´ frames. It need not to decode fully when the watermarking is embedded and extracted. As a result, the complication of operation is predigested and the capability of real time is improved. Furthermore, experimental results show that because the watermark is embedded in the luminance´s DCT direct current coefficient rather than in the chroma´s DCT direct current coefficient, the video effect is distorted less, and the watermark is still steady.
