Welcome message of CogART´09

We are proud to organize the second edition of the International Workshop on Cognitive Radio and Advanced Spectrum Management (CogART´09), which is organized in conjunction with Wireless VITAE 2009. The topics of the Workshop are in recent years attracting the efforts of many well-reputed scientists and engineers from research and industrial groups worldwide, not only in the field of communication technology, as cognitive radio is indeed a subject that bridges telecommunications and artificial intelligence. This year we have assembled a high quality three-days event with papers describing cutting-edge research solutions, aiming at realizing the dream of intelligent radios, aware of the environment they operate in, of their technical capabilities and, ultimately, of the quality of service requirements of their users. This year??s edition of CogART is extended with a one day industrial track focusing on Software Defined Radio applied in satellite communications.
