  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a practical algorithm for modulation recognition of some common digital phase shift keying (PSK) signals in the satellite communication. The modulation scheme is constructed and the phase transition set is chosen to be the classification characteristic for PSK signals. Moreover, some preprocessing are made to provide several information for modulation recognition, such as the estimation of carrier frequency and symbol rate. Simulation results prove that the proposed system and the classification feature can efficiently recognize the modulation type of the satellite communication signals; it shows that this method is useful and feasible in engineering applications.
