    This study examines the sustainability of multilevel marketing (MLM) in Malaysia. Keeping in mind the current downturn in the economic trends, many individuals have opted for part-time jobs and MLM companies have experienced success in recruiting more distributors. An analysis was conducted on the challenges of one such company. The methodology chosen was in-depth interviews of key individuals from different management levels. This study analyzed the perceptions of these individuals and their experiences as members of this company. The results showed that sustainability of MLM is dependent on several factors like increase in cost of living and personal independence. However, this may only hold true within the range of certain restrictions such as economic downturns. Thus, further study needs to be made on how MLMs would fare in better economic conditions.
