Abstract
Besides the classical cyclic controlled automation systems (e.g. a PLC), component based automation systems are becoming more and more important. With event driven components it is possible to design such a distributed control system without the some limitations of current controllers. It is very important to offer a comfortable solution to the whole engineering process. The problem of describing the distributed control system is put down to the problem of decomposing the system into components. Our approach is prototypically implemented on an open source strong object oriented middleware, improved by the distribution of such objects.
