Abstract
This paper presents a power converter composed of a two switch buck boost power factor corrected AC/DC stage cascaded with a bi-directional asymmetric duty cycle half bridge forward stage for use in UPS systems with low battery voltage. Novel modulation strategies are used in both stages giving low switch stresses
