  • Abstract
Software development courses are vital to computer related majors. These courses are interrelated and should be treated as a whole. This paper first presents an architecture for the platform construction of software development course group which is applicable to different computer-related majors. Based on introduction of structured programming language, object oriented programming language and development tools should be emphasized. Windows-based application development and web based application development are both important. Knowledge units of each course in the course group are then illustrated. Finally, several teaching methods appropriate for software development courses are introduced, including experimental teaching, bilingual teaching, and case teaching.
