Abstract
This paper presents the method for the signal parameters selection to improve the processing gain (PG) of the single-user TH ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. The signal parameters provided by this method are independent of TH codes. First, the UWB system models are introduced. The UWB system operates in the multipath channel with NBI, and employs binary pulse amplitude modulation. Next, the processing gain is derived. Then, the method is given. At last, the effectiveness of this method is illustrated by an example.
