Abstract :
The work presents an efficient video content access control algorithm which has no effect on the compression efficiency and provides a good level of security. The algorithm works in such a way that the number of bits generated for all (8×8) blocks remains the same for the scrambled and the original image. Scrambling is achieved by intra-level shifting and shuffling the coefficients, without disturbing the statistical and spatial properties of the image/video. The proposed algorithm is easy to implement and can be made immune to plain text attacks with an insignificant overhead.
