Abstract :
The paper proposes a new Intervehicle Communication (IVC) System for highway driving, which integrates modern electronic technologies and advanced communications technologies. ZigBee technique is used to realize Ad Hoc communication between the vehicles and GPS is used for speed forecast and distance alarm. Least Square Method (LSM) is used to predict the vehicular location on highway and the prediction performance is improved. The MAC layer routing algorithm of Ad Hoc is simulated by NS2, different network protocols are compared and optimized at last.
