Abstract
Recent advancements of microelectronics and network protocol research enable the application of wireless sensor network in both industry and home environments. Reliability issues play a vital role to ensure the quality of service of these applications. To maximize the reliability of such a network is a both a worthy goal and a significant challenge, while maintaining the detection and response capabilities. In this paper, we examine the tradeoffs of enhancing the reliability of wireless sensor network using the ZigBee network as an example and we propose our measures to boost the reliability of the network
