Abstract :
A fourth order linear finite impulse response (FIR) model of cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) as a function of mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) was investigated. The Kalman filter estimation was employed to estimate the model parameters. Experimental evaluation of this model in 12 healthy subjects (37±7 yr) revealed that the relationship between CBFV and MABP is best described by a time varying FIR model.
