Abstract :
This paper described the propagation and cavity characteristics of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). Authors designed a SIW filter based LTCC with HFSS and simulated the transmission behavior. Then prototype SIW filters were fabricated from our 8" LTCC line. The measurement results with VNA matched well the simulation data. After analyzed the reason for the difference between the simulation and measured curve author conclude that this is a new way to integrate passive component in LTCC
