Abstract
An estimation of maintenance rates for contemporary illuminated panels involves a number of problems and alternative policies. Voltage stress derating can be used to extend the life of redundant lamp pairs such that it exceeds total usage time in the end item. Keeping the lamps down low can produce large reductions in life cycle costs
