Abstract
Call admission control (CAC) has been a topic of intense research for many years. In this paper, we propose a handover-reservation-based CAC scheme for TD-SCDMA (time division-synchronous code division multiple access) systems. Admission threshold for new calls is set more strictly than handover calls to favor the ongoing users over new ones. Computer simulation is made and the results show that the performance in terms of dropping probability and handover success rate is improved.
