Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel scheme for effective utilization of power by integrating sleep wake scheduling, clustering and tracking using EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) for predicting the object´s movement. It also proposes a novel routing algorithm called Delay-less Optimal Shortest Path Routing Algorithm (DOSPRA), which reduces the routing delays in the cluster. A Cluster Head (CH) receives the event from sensor nodes in its proximity and passes the information to the sink via DOSPRA routing algorithm. The sink predicts the next position of the target using EKF and awakes the appropriate cluster head and the nodes for detecting the events. It is found by the simulation results that this scheme increases lifetime of the network and tracking accuracy.
