Abstract :
In this report, the two-dimensional calculation of the winding losses occurring in magnetic devices like chokes and transformers used in switch mode power supplies is presented. Based on the field distribution in the winding area including the fringing fields of the arbitrarily positioned air gaps, the skin and proximity losses in each turn are analytically calculated
