Abstract :
A new adaptive time delay estimation algorithm with variable adaptive gain is proposed to estimate the latency changes in evoked potentials. The variable adaptive gain is proportional to the local SNR of the input EP signal within each sweep and it is normalized by the average power of the EP signal. The results of computer simulation show that the adaptive algorithm with the variable adaptive gain is stable and has a better convergence and smaller latency change estimation errors
