Abstract
The task board is one of the most important information radiators used by an agile team to track their progress. When teams make the transition to using electronic team tracking tools, they often stop using the physical information radiators such as the task board. This transition from using a physical tool to an electronic tool can have unintended side effects for teams. In this experience report, the focus is on sharing the problems teams can encounter with transparency if they do not manage the transition to electronic tools well. We discuss the implications for agile development teams along with the strengths and weaknesses of physical and electronic information radiators.
