  • Abstract
    Forest fire prevention is always the focus of attention worldwide, and an important aspect on which governments invest heavily in ecological protection. All of the geographic information (such as latitude and longitude, elevation) has become the public data at the areas deployed forest fire prevention system based on the video monitoring system. It is more expediently to set up the automatic fire point positioning software platform using components of GIS tools. And according to the azimuth angle and the pitching angle returned by the digital PTZ and related methods, the location information of fire point would be obtained. In this paper, the combination of the fire monitoring information and geospatial information achieved the purpose of precise positioning for forest fire point .The system was based on the existing hardware for digital video monitoring system and the basic GIS data of experimental forest farm at Miaofengshan mountain in Beijing, applying ArcGIS geographic information platform and large powerful database technology, referencing exhaustive search algorithm for single point positioning. Overall positioning accuracy is within 100 meters.
