Abstract
A. S. Popov during the period of his intensive teaching, scientific and social work was sent abroad five times. Those include his trips to Chicago (1893), to Berlin, Paris, London and Zurich (1899), to Berlin and Paris (1900) and twice to Berlin only (1903, 1904). While being abroad on business he visited several other European and North American cities. Starting from 1897 and especially from 1900 A. S. Popov corresponded with foreign specialists. In his research work as well as in his teaching activity Alexander Stepanovich Popov widely used the achievements of the global science.
