Abstract :
It is shown how improved engineering design techniques and selection of the proper equipment and utilization voltage can conserve on energy, as well as produce better resource utilization. These various approaches and techniques, when properly applied, can lead to good energy management as opposed to conventional energy conservation philosophies. A number of electrical design techniques that contribute to minimizing energy consumption and maximizing the efficiency of electrical designs and installations are considered. By first reducing the raw products required in a finished structure and the quantity of finished materials used, the amount of initial energy expenditure to produce the total building is reduced
