Abstract :
This paper is concerned with direct power converters for high power, high voltage, RF applications. Two novel converter topologies are discussed. Both converters are soft switched and utilise a high frequency resonant tank, a high voltage, and a high frequency transformer. The relative advantages and drawbacks of each converter are discussed.
