Abstract :
This paper introduces new efforts on quantitative MRI, T2-mapping imaging based on T2 Weighted Imaging and linear fit algorithm. These new efforts aim to improve the accuracy and clinic feasibility of T2-mapping imaging by optimization of the acquisition parameters including initial echo, echo number, TR and echo interval. Optimized acquisition parameters are proposed through a number of tests. In addition, noises are reduced according to a new noise model based on signal differences between tissues and noises, to promote the quality of T2 maps. According to comparisons between a great quantity of T2 weighted images and T2 maps, it shows that improved T2 maps have advantages on early diagnosis of diseases related to brain and cartilage tissues.
