Abstract :
The exact determination of the modulation transfer function (MTF) of X-ray digital imaging system is a persistent problem. We present a practical method for measuring the MTF curve of X-ray linear flat panel detector. The method is based on the noise transfer theory of cascaded linear system. The scale factor between noise power spectrum (NPS) and MTF should be obtained firstly. Accurate NPS estimation of system noise (quantum noise and additive noise) by background trends removal and MTF values measurement by standard bar pattern method were required in this method.
