Abstract :
The construction of smart grid is an important measure to response to the problem of global warming and energy shortage, while smart power Consumption is a significant part of it. As the basis support for the smart grid, communication technology is the key to achieve its informationization, automation and interactivity. In this paper, performance testing experiment of broadband power line communication and the application of PLC in smart power Consumption pilot projects are combined to demonstrate the favorable prospect of PLC application in smart power Consumption field. And finally, a prediction of the future development trend is also presented.
